Lähiradio 100,3MHz is going to be closed during June 23 – August 10 due to its summer vacation (at least according to my information I got from the radio. But probably there would be some programs running during the summer break….)

So SILAKKA Radio Show on June 19 Sunday (wow, it is today) is the last one. The show will be back on August 14.

Today, June 19 show presents me and Thor Magnusson‘s collaborative project, SHOOTING SCALES for a Disklavier and 6 gamepads (12 hands) – improvisational game playing, among others. LISTEN!

In order to celebrate the last show of this year today, I will play my solo guitar piece called “For Topias“, that I composed  for Topias Tiheäsalo, one of the extra ordinal free improvisers in Finland. It was premiered and recorded live at Helsinki Guitar Festival, on October 31, 2008 at the lobby of Finnish Academy of Fine Arts. Topias interpreted my score 50 minutes long in deep concentration. The recording engineer is Jon-Patrik Kuhlefelt.  Enjoy!

I will be, during January 2010,  in Germany, in Karlsruhe at ZKM the center for art and media to compose  a piece, “The World of Coulur”  with my custom made colored noises for 39 channels sphere/surround system. More info, check my website: silakka.fi
